Welcome to Macleay Valley Mountain Bikers Club
Kalateenee Mountain Bike Trails
The home of the Macleay Valley Mountain Bikers club is located within the Kalateenee State Forest of Kempsey, NSW. The mountain bike park includes a network of 25-30km of trails which are maintained to a high standard. The main trail head is easily accessed from the Kempsey Golf Club carpark, off Macleay Valley Way. There is a new carpark located within the forest, from the South Kempsey interchange turn into Scrubby Creek Road then follow the blue signs to Kalateenee MTB trails.
A variety of trail options are available including XC and Gravity trails. Recently reconstruction of most of our gravity trail have seen new features and more jumps, which are already very popular. All levels of rider abilities are catered for from beginner to advanced. Most trails are also suitable for adaptive bikes.
In addition to the trail-head signs at the golf club, carpark and 5-ways, trail signs are installed throughout the park to assist with navigation and also demonstrate trail distances and difficulty ratings based on IMBA standards.
The Macleay Valley Mountain Bikers is an incorporated club, with a permit from Forestry Corporation NSW (FCNSW) to manage and maintain the trails. FCNSW provide support and advice to allow MVMB to operate the trails to required standards
